A major challenge of manufacturing land-based turbines and microturbines is fabricating designs based on aerospace technologies, in industrial quantities and at industrial costs. Similar to those used in aerospace applications, turbines for power generation require various complex welded sheet metal assemblies with tight tolerances. Senior Flexonics has successfully met the challenge of simultaneously maintaining these tolerances while cost effectively producing thousands of such assemblies per year.
